Students will acquire skills to help them get the most out of their Workplacements
The SWC VET Careers Summit is an event where VET students acquire skills to help them get the most out of their workplacements by meeting and interacting with local employers throughout the day. This includes interactive Career Workshops, VET Industry Q&A Panel and Speed Networking. There was an extremely high level of interest in our region with SWC receiving over 600 confirmed registrations varying from students, teachers, and industry representatives.

Interactive Careers Workshops
Employers: Set up an interactive workshop to share tips and tricks to succeed in the workplace
Students: Receive Tips and Tricks to succeed in the workplace from industry representatives
VET Industry Expert Q&A Panel
Employers: Promote your industry and give valuable advice from an employer’s perspective
Students: Find out what employers really think, get valuable advice
Speed Careers Networking
Employers: Network with 400+ VET Students & Teachers
Students: Network with VET Industry Experts
Apprenticeship & Traineeship Expo *TBD
Employers: Gain VIP Access to start from 1:15pm onwards to engage with 400+ VET students & teachers already at the venue
Students: Gain VIP access to the Expo from 1:15pm onwards before the general public at 3-8pm

You can still support us by providing Showbag resources & items for students!
What is the VET Summit?
It is a one day event, from 9:15am to 3:30pm where VET students will meet and interact with employers throughout the day. This includes interactive Career Workshops, VET Industry Q&A Panel and Speed Networking.
Is it COVID-SAFE?
Yes, the wellbeing of our participants remains our highest priority. COVID-19 measures are implemented in accordance with the latest advice from NSW Department of Education, SafeWork Australia and the Australian Government Department of Health.
